The Cryptide resembles a crypt, which explains her name. She is too slow and clumsy to hunt, so she feeds on dead flesh. Whatever foul remains she comes across disappear into her massive jaws.
The Cryptide serves as a living incubator and carries the Wingers’ eggs until they hatch. Environmental conditions can be pernicious for the offspring, but special cavities inside the Cryptide are perfect nurseries. The Cryptide collects the laid eggs of the Wingers, and when they are ready to hatch, she spits them out.
The Cryptide does not have intelligence of her own. She is driven by one instinct - to protect. Thanks to her size and powerful claws, the Cryptide poses great danger to those who risks getting too close. When she feels threatened, she starts spitting out eggs that are close to hatching which immediately release Wingers that attack her enemies without thinking.
